The Law relating to drugs is far from straightforward but basically, the law is outlined in terms of The Misuse of Drugs Act. Any individual convicted of possessing, supplying or producing certain drugs illegally can be fined or sent to prison. The basic provisions are set out below.
All charges relating to alleged contraventions of the Misuse of Drugs Act are a serious nature and it is important that anyone charged with such offences is properly represented in court.
